Wombat Camp Reserve is a 520 hectare property of native mallee scrub with some clear areas located adjacent to the southwestern boundary of Moorunde Wildlife Reserve.
Purchased in April 2021 from supportive neighbour and long-time member, Valmai Hankel, Wombat Camp is partially designated a Heritage Listed property. It is now being improved by track clearing, fencing, tidying, weeding etc and will be thoroughly designated as are all our other reserves.
We will have more information about its Wombat population, other wildlife and environmental features as we continue to work on it.
